Such a device can then be formatted using any file system and used as a regular disk. Without seNTry 2020, a user can simply boot an NT computer with a DOS diskette, run the readily available NTFSDOS utility, and gain unrestricted access to all NT files. seNTry 2020 prevents this attack by providing real-time encrypted drives that work exactly like standard unsecured drives.
